We have recently been downsized by two of our key editorial staff, Vincent VanAllen and CJ Hurtt. Both with wonderful reasons - new additions to the family! We here at Dark Recesses Press wish them both well in this new stage of life and hope they don't become strangers (even if the midnight feedings bring them as close to zombie-hood as possible).

With this loss however, we have found it difficult to keep up with our slush pile. In order to clear out any and all backlog we presently have, we will be closed to submissions temporarily.

Submission closure will begin immediately and we will re-open for submissions August 15th, 2008. This will give us enough time to clear things out or at the very least bring it back within a managable level. Our purpose for doing this is to enusre that our authors are not waiting longer than necessary.

We appreciate your patience and look forward to reading your work come August 15, 2008.
