This story depicts a typical post-apocalytic world but in a not-so-typical manner. Yes, the usual types of bad things you expect to see in this species of story do occur, but they have absolutely no effect on the main character, who is completely immune to these troubles by virtue of him not having a heart (a truly Baumian Tinman) or a brain (OK, so he's little like the Scarecrow too), and by being indigestible to the flesh-eaters. Nice work!
