Weird Sea Creature Surfaces

Mike Krumboltz, in his blog, reports that a creature right from the imagination of Steve Alten or Howard Lovecraft has surfaced.  If we one day walk on another planet, can we find anything as weird as these “weird beasts”?  He says that the Bathynomus giganteus  which he nicknames Bart, is an isopod, “a large crustacean”  that munches on the carcasses of dead whales, and squid.
